There was once a king. He ruled over a planet. Only once, had he ever seen another.
The king sat upon his throne, ruling eternity. It seemed to him that all the cosmos were his faithful Subjects. He never spoke, except for the day that strange Subject of his visited. He watched as day turned to night and night to day; all the while believing that it happened under his own command.
When it rained, the king would think to himself: “Ah, how wonderful these clouds are to have obeyed my will for them to rain down on me today.”
His reign was undisputed; except for the time that visitor came. “Nonetheless”, thought the king whenever the remembrance of this young Subject came to mind, “I did after all command him to question me”. And then the king would pause:
“I should command him to come back again one day”.
